Undergraduate Office Assistant IPUMS
The Institute for Social Research and Data Innovation invites applications for two Undergraduate Office Assistants to work with the ISRDI Administrative team. Job ID 354339. Volunteer/Internship Opportunities with Tubman
Tubman has some student volunteer and internship opportunities starting in May and in August, and I thought Sociology students might be interested. We have the Resource Advocate position, which offers supportive counseling and resource referrals to people experiencing relationship violence, legal issues, mental and chemical health concerns, as well as other trauma. We also may have openings for the Youth Outreach Advocate position, at a drop-in space at Maplewood Mall called NorthStar, that offers support and resources to youth and young adults.
Student Transition Experience Interns
The Student Transition Experience Interns are responsible for the development and implementation of small (5-20) and mid-sized (50-250) events and programs serving first-year students, transfer students, second-year students, and other special sub-populations of students. Specific duties will be divided between a small team of 2-3 Student Transition Experience Interns but include event planning and logistics including budget planning, supply ordering, marketing, implementing, and following up with about 5-8 events per month. - Never pay for articles or PDFs — through the library website, lib.umn.edu, you can access 100,000+ online journals, magazines, and newspapers, and more than 1 million online academic books, streaming videos, music, and more. You can also request and get articles and books we don’t own.

Help get started with faculty-sponsored research
The UMN Libraries and Office of Undergraduate Research are offering “Think Like a Researcher” all semester to help undergraduates get started with faculty-sponsored research. It is a self-paced mini-course with videos and short activities (2-3 hours to complete on their own timeline). Students can register today.
