Wild Rockies Field Institute Info Session

A representative from the Wild Rockies Field Institute (WRFI) will be on campus to talk more about their programs. I connected with staff and students from WRFI at NACADA, and the program could be a good opportunity for any students looking to get more hands-on interdisciplinary experience out in the field.

Wild Rockies Field Institute (WRFI)
Info Session: Thursday, April 11th
Green Hall 19 from 2-4pm

Wild Rockies Field Institute is an academic field program that offers undergraduate students opportunities to earn upper-division college credit while backpacking, biking, hiking, and kayaking across landscapes of the Rocky Mountain West. Our outdoor classes take place in Montana, Canada, and the American Southwest, combining academic inquiry with cultural immersion and extended backcountry expeditions. Students engage in small, discussion-oriented classes, hands-on, field-based ecological studies, and build authentic connections with community members who live and work in the places we travel through, all the while sleeping in a tent! If you’re interested in learning more about WRFI, stop by on April 11th anytime between 2:00-4:00pm in Green Hall 19. Please reach out to zoe@wrfi.net with any questions.
